Chelcie and Brayden's first look!

Chelcie and Brayden are wonderful!  I now totally understand the sentiment that photographers talk about when they say that they SERIOUSLY LOVE their brides and grooms.  I can't really quite describe it.  I have done 2 weddings now and I can honestly say that I don't think I will ever forget either couple.  There is something about being a part of this part of their lives that makes your heart want to burst for them and know you could never forget them.  I love Brayden and Chelcie. What an amazing benefit to this job!  I get to find more people to love! I read a quote today...."in the end I want my heart to be covered in stretch marks"  I think it applies.  If I do this my whole life, think of how many people I will get to love!  Brayden is quiet, loving, kind, and looks at Chelcie the way all girls dream of being looked at. (oh, and he's a pilot! hence the airplane tie clip :)...)  Chelcie is genuine, easy to talk to, bubbly, and the sweetest girl you ever will meet.  Their personalities fit together perfectly.  This session was up above Sundance right at Aspen grove trailhead.  He saw her for the first time in her wedding dress looking as perfect as a woman can, they danced to their wedding song, and I am the luckiest because I got to be there!  Truly a privilege and something that I do not take lightly.

My sweet babe is 1 year old!   This little shoot was interesting to do  :)  He wasn't super cooperative, but he sure made up for it in cuteness! I ended up with 3 different kinds of light cause we attempted a couple times throughout the day.  All the props are things people have made for him.  The light green blanket was made my my mother in law, the quilt and pillows were made by my mom, and the feather canvases in the background were painted by my sister Laura for his room.  I bought the bird but I included it because he LOVES it.  Every time we pass it  in the hall he get excited and wants to touch it and he says, "tweet tweet tweet!"

Chelcie and Brayden's Engagement

I'm hoping to get all caught up on my favorite 2014 sessions.  This was another wedding I did this summer.  Chelcie is quite possibly the most bubbly, easy to please person I know.  She is amazing and she and Brayden are amazing together.  Chelcie has a the cutest son (now Brayden's son too!)  and all together make the cutest family.  I had so much fun doing thier engagements at Liberty Park in Salt Lake.  And I LOVE LOVE LOVE chelcie's striped dress.  I  think it totally makes the pictures!

Cheryl's Maternity Session

By now these two have had their beautiful baby! They came to my house to do this maternity session.  Cheryl was so so beautiful and her husband was so sweet to her.  They were so obviously excited for this new part of their life and I LOVED doing this lifestyle session.  Anyone who wants to do lifestyle, I am all in!  They feel so intimate and personal.  My favorite picture of the session in the fist one on the left!

Nathan and Amy's FIRST engagement session!

So, 3 weeks later......I do a second blog post.  Haha!  I will get on a blogging schedule and then they will happen more frequently.   This is Nathan and Amy's FIRST engagement session.  This was definitely a memorable session... for 2 reasons.  1- It was INSANELY windy and cold  2- As much as the wind really got in our way, it turned out for some amazing pictures because well.....HER HAIR!!!!!!AMAZING! ....need I say more?  Although we got some amazing pictures in this session (making the effort TOTALLY worth it) we didn't get as many useable pictures as I would normally like to give because her hair was all over her face in most of the pictures ;).  So, we ended up doing another mini-session, that I will blog about tomorrow!

In the picture on the left, I told him to come up behind her and tell her why he loves her.  It was wonderful...I don't know what he said, but her reaction made me tear up.  So sweet.  Engagement sessions are my favorite.  There is just so much excitement, anticipation, and love.  It is infectious and I always walk away feeling so honored to have gotten to play a little part in of the beginning of their life together.

We did the last shot to demonstrate how WINDY WINDY WINDY it was!!
